The Sun Odyssey 440 received the honour during the evening awards celebration for European Yacht of the Year at the start of the Düsseldorf Boat Show. She received the award for Yacht of the Year in the “Family Cruiser” category.

The jury was composed of 12 journalists from European marine magazines. Over the course of the fall, these experts test sailed the boats that had been nominated in La Rochelle, France and in Barcelona, Spain.

They particularly liked the inclined, continuous surface of the deck running around the boat. The con guration without steps enhances the safety of all on board, and particularly children.

This prestigious award highlights the signi cant collaborative work between the Jeanneau crew, Philippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton, respectively the architect and designer of the new generation of Sun Odysseys. Together, we are thrilled to receive this international recognition.

This is the third award the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 has been won for 2018.
